Brian Tooley Racing naturally aspirated stage I cam features a very wide power range and excellent mid-range torque for the naturally aspirated LS1/LS2 engines. This camshaft is great for those wanting the power production of the Stage II camshaft, yet desire slightly better driveability.
This camshaft was designed with -3 degrees of overlap it has a nice, mellow idle, but makes great power. The secret is in minimizing the overlap, while maximizing the intake valve closing and exhaust valve opening events. Cam specs are 223/230 .610"/.573" 115+2 and comes a 3 bolt timing gear pattern.
Note: Dual valve spring and retainer package is required with this camshaft. We also suggest 1-piece hardened pushrods along with the COMP Cams 13702-KIT Trunnion upgrade kit. JDP Motorsports recommends degreeing the camshaft and checking piston to valve clearance when installing any aftermarket camshaft.

Note: Lift approaching .650" or more while using stock 15 degree rocker arms with too much open spring pressure can damage valve tips long term. We recommend a maximum lift of .630" and maximum open pressure of 400 lbs when using stock rocker arms.
